The winners are in from the 46th annual Non-Equity Jeff Awards. The ceremony at the Athenaeum Theatre just concluded, with big winners including Theo Ubique’s The Bridges of Madison County (production—musical), The Artistic Home’s Requiem for a Heavyweight (production—play) and Broken Nose Theatre’s Plainclothes (ensemble).
I’ll have some thoughts inspired by tonight’s awards up at Chicago magazine tomorrow, so be on the lookout. In the meantime, here’s the full list of winners. Remember that the performance categories for plays and musicals now have two winners in each category regardless of gender—except for Performer in a Supporting Role—Play, which this year has three due to a tie. The New Work and New Musical categories are non-competitive and can have multiple winners from the nominated works.
